Collecting Mussels After a Southerly Storm

  We discovered by accident that there are mussels washed up on shore after a southerly storm and big seas. So after the latest southerly storm, my partner and I drove about 30 minutes to go to one of the beaches of Eastbourne, Wellington,  New Zealand.

It is cheaper to buy the mussels from the grocery stores since it is less than NZ$3.00 per kilo.  However, it is a reason to go to the beach and enjoy the day . Also, I find it more delicious to eat the mussels that we had collected.
