We discovered by accident that there are mussels washed up on shore after a southerly storm and big seas. So after the latest southerly storm, my partner and I drove about 30 minutes to go to one of the beaches of Eastbourne, Wellington, New Zealand.
It is cheaper to buy the mussels from the grocery stores since it is less than NZ$3.00 per kilo. However, it is a reason to go to the beach and enjoy the day . Also, I find it more delicious to eat the mussels that we had collected.

The day finally came when 200 Texas Hold’em poker aficionados near and within the Wellington area met to show their skill in a Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament that was being held at Upper Hutt Cosmopolitan (Cossie) Club and hosted by the Aces High Poker Adjunct of the club on April 27,2013. There were two tournaments for this day; the main tournament and the consolation tournament. The second tournament is free. There were 110 players who registered for the game.
Upper Hutt Cossie Club is one of NZ’s leading clubs. It was formed in1961 and had won several prestigious awards. It is the hub of Upper Hutt having about 10,000 members. It has 14 adjuncts like fishing , indoor bowling, seniors, karaoke,etc and most especially Aces High Poker Adjunct that was formed so as to oversee the growth of Texas hold’em poker.
